UN DIA CON EL PÚBLICO ( A DAY WITH THE AUDIENCE )

In addition to the company tour of 2009 with repertory work, Gelabert Azzopardi is offering theatre organisers Un dia con el público. A day of  interaction with the audience.
It is an open dialogue, in which the public is involved during the creative process, suggesting ideas and  giving feedback to Gelabert & dancers..

With this activity, the company attempts to obtain and establish a direct  connection with the audience; questioning the key to sensations, and leaving in evidence that  art and perception are an open and complex process.
This proposition is divided in two sections. From 19.00-20.15, an introduction to movement class will be given to twenty non professionals by Gelabert.  In the evening, there will be an hour and a half  session of short fragments of repertory works to be seen and discussed with the audience.
This session will also include short pieces to be choreographed on the dancers, suggested by members of the audience. ending with comments on the results.Voluntary members of the audience will also be participating in improvisations and in repertory fragments.

Un dia con el público was first presented at Teatre Lliure Barcelona in 2008 to favourable public and media reception, motivating us to repeat the experience in 2009.

OPEN REHEARSALS WHILE ON TOUR

We are also offering the possibility of open rehearsals before  performances  while on tour, if and when agreed upon by the organisers. This encounter will be approx. 40mns. of rehearsal and 20mns.of discussion with the  members of the audience interested in the work to be presented during the evening.
